Summary
The Center Aide is an hourly paid employee. The number of hours worked per week is based on factors unique to the place of employment but will never exceed 29.75 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior commercial cooking experience is preferred. Applicants must enjoy learning new things, and be capable of doing so. Applicants must exhibit and conform to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. A Food Handler's certificate must be obtained prior to employment and some applicants may be asked to complete a Food Manager's course. All applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to adapt to change easily, and must be flexible with the changing needs of the center.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Center Manager and/or cook
- Responsible for general cleaning of center and kitchen
- Assist in meal preparation as required
- Assist in serving congregate meals
- Assist in delivery of home meals
- Responsible for washing and storage of food service trays and utensils
- Other duties as assigned
